Baltimore Orioles Sign Jeff Larish
Corner infielder Jeff Larish announced on his Facebook page (via Jane Lee of MLB.com) that he has signed with the Baltimore Orioles. It's a minor league deal with no invite to major league spring training, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports.
Larish joined the Phillies organization last season, and was hitting .240/.330/.449 with 13 homers in 288 plate appearances down in Triple-A before a leg injury ended his season. The 29-year-old is now joining his fourth different organization, and fourth in the past two seasons.
It's been a busy day for the Orioles, who have made several appearances today on MLB Daily Dish. First they released Rick VandenHurk, made a pair of internal moves and are one of the finalists to sign Manny Ramirez.
