Julian, on so many cases, where a player might shift position, or be at a certain level, I leave that alone until actual decisions are made. As Spring Training begins there will be extensive movement on all the teams at every level.

The $18 cited for 2014 is a team option

The Giants on the hook for $8M (or perhaps it is $6M {I can’t remember which}) to buy out his contract in 2014.
