Earlier today, the Kansas City Royals made a flurry of roster moves, reassigning several of their players to minor-league camp, and optioning a few others. The following players were reassigned to minor-league camp: right-hander Jake Odorizzi; left-handers Chris Dwyer, Mike Montgomery, Brandon Sisk, Will Smith; catcher Julio Rodriguez; and outfielders Wil Myers and Paulo Orlando. Meanwhile, right-hander Nate Adcock and left-hander Ryan Verdugo were optioned to Triple-A Omaha. And lastly, lefty Noel Arguelles was optioned to Double-A Northwest Arkansas.
The roster moves, eleven in total, whittled down the major league camp total to 46 players.
