According to Troy Renck of the Denver Post, the Colorado Rockies will discuss within the organization whether or not they'd like to pursue free agent southpaw Dontrelle Willis, who was released yesterday. Willis likely would not make the roster, but the Rockies "could use more left-handed bullpen options," writes Renck. As he notes, if Colorado were to sign Willis, it would be on a minor-league deal with minimal risk.
Willis, 32, struggled in Spring Training prior to his release, albeit in a very small sample size: 2.2 IP, 5 R, 0 K, 4 BB.
