David O'Brien of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution tweets that the Atlanta Braves have been looking to pick up a backup outfielder since before Chipper Jones' injury, and "will continue to do so." O'Brien notes that free agent OF Johnny Damon, 38, could be a fit -- though it's not clear how much interest Atlanta has in him.
For now, the Braves will have Martin Prado take over at third base, with Eric Hinske, Michael Bourn, and Jason Heyward covering the outfield.
