The Chicago Cubs have signed Shawn Camp to a minor league deal, according to Carrie Muskat of MLB.com. Camp was released by the Seattle Mariners last week after signing a deal for $750 thousand the month before.

Camp is an eight year veteran and has played with the Kansas City Royals, Tampa Bay Rays, and Toronto Blue Jays. He has a career 4.40 ERA and averages a little more than 60 innings pitched per year. The reliever had managed a 2.16 ERA and six strike outs over seven appearances (8 1/3 IP) this spring.
