Rich Dubroff from Comcast Sports Net Baltimore reports that the Baltimore Orioles have released left handed relief pitcher Dennys Reyes for failing to report to spring training. He signed with the Orioles in January.

The 34 year old was signed by the Boston Red Sox last season and made the team out of camp. He would later be injured and miss most of the season, playing mostly with the rookie team and spending some time with the Pawtucket Red Sox.

Reyes played two seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals before signing in Boston, where he had a 3.52 earned run average with a 6.6 strike out per nine inning rate. It is probably unlikely that he will sign anywhere now, after he did not report to Orioles camp which showed that he just did not want to commit. His deal with the Orioles had been a minor league deal with an invite to spring training.
