Zack Greinke's new agent, Casey Close, will speak with Brewers general manager Doug Melvin tomorrow, reports Adam McCalvy of MLB.com.
Close will take over contract discussions from Greinke, who has been representing himself since leaving CAA in December.
The phone conversation between Close--who works for Excel Sports Management--and Melvin set for Thursday will cover where the current contract discussions stand.
Greinke has not stated whether he is open to extension talks continuing after the regular season begins on Friday, but Tom Haudricourt of JS Online reports that the Brewers have said they are open for talks to continue into the season.
The 28-year-old Cy Young winner is set to be a free agent at the end of the 2012 season.
