The Minnesota Twins have promoted catcher Drew Butera from AAA Rochester and he will be placed on the active roster before tonight's game, according to Joe Christensen of the Star Tribune.

The Twins will need to make a corresponding move prior to the game. That move could be sending Justin Morneau to the disabled list, depending on the results of his left wrist examination conducted by Dr. Thomas Varecka of the Twin Cities.
