Jays Swap Carreño, Crawford Again to Refresh Bullpen
The Toronto Blue Jays have optioned right-handed pitcher Joel Carreño and recalled left-handed pitcher Evan Crawford from AAA New Hampshire, according to the team:
The @BlueJays have recalled LHP Evan Crawford and optioned RHP Joel Carreno to New Hampshire of the Eastern League (AAA).

Carreno, 25, has just twelve innings pitched and has earned a 4.50 ERA in five games of the 2012 season. He didn't see much more than that in 2011, with just fifteen innings of 1.15 ERA ball in eleven games.
Crawford, also 25, has even less work as a pro with just four innings pitched at a 4.50 ERA pace earlier this season.
Does this story seem oddly familiar? That's because the Blue Jays swapped the two in an equal but opposite move just two weeks ago, recalling Joel Carreño and optioning Evan Crawford to AAA New Hampshire.
