According to Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune the Rays have officially called up outfielder Brandon Guyer from Triple-A Durham.

The 26-year-old outfielder, acquired in the trade of Matt Garza last winter, was hitting .294/.365/.459 with three home runs in 97 plate appearances for the Bulls.

With Desmond Jennings knee an issue at the moment the Rays could use the extra outfield help. As Mooney noted, no roster move has been made to clear a spot.
