The Detroit Tigers have placed left-hander Drew Smyly on the disabled list with a severe blister, reports Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports. Morosi adds that he has been told Ryan Raburn will rejoin the Tigers.
#Tigers place Drew Smyly on DL because of severe blister, sources say. Ryan Raburn will rejoin the team, I am told.

The Tigers had listed Smyly as day-to-day this week while he dealt with the blister. Though Detroit said Smyly was healing and the blister was looking better each day, it appears it will ultimately send him to the disabled list. Smyly told reporters Tuesday that all he can really do is give the blister time to allow it to heal.
Smyly has been one of the Tigers best pitchers this season. Over his 12 starts, the 23-year-old has maintained an ERA and WHIP of 3.96 and 1.272 with 8.2 SO/9 and 2.5 BB/9.
Raburn was with the Tigers through the end of May before he was demoted to Triple-A Toledo. Over his 123 at-bats with the Tigers, the 31-year-old only mustered an OPS of .420. Raburn has gone 6-31 with a home run and three RBIs this year for Toledo.
