#Tigers would like to add a LH starter but wary of paying full freight on Wandy Rodriguez’s contract: two years, $26MM after this season.— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) July 17, 2012
Morosi adds that the Astros could be willing to eat a portion of Rodriguez’s contract. If that happens, he believes the Tigers could be in play.
Rodriguez, 33, has maintained and ERA and WHIP of 3.51 and 1.243 this season and his career marks are 4.02 and 1.337. Rodriguez, who’s making $10 million this season, is set to make $13 million in 2013 and his contract includes a $13 million team option, which becomes a player option if he’s traded, for the 2014 season.
Will Rodriguez be traded this summer?
