The Philadelphia Phillies have activated right-hander Roy Halladay from the disabled list, reports Todd Zolecki of MLB.com.

To make room on their roster for Halladay, the Phillies optioned right-hander Brian Sanches to Triple-A.

Halladay has been out since the end of May with a strained lat muscle. Prior to being activated by the Phillies, the 35-year-old made one minor league rehab start. He allowed three hits and struck out four over his three innings of work with Philadelphia’s High-A affiliate.

Before hitting the DL, Halladay maintained an ERA and WHIP of 3.98 and 1.147 over his 11 starts.

The return means that the Phillies now have Halladay, Ryan Howard and Chase Utley healthy for the first time all season. Philadelphia is currently 13 games back of the National League East-leading Washington Nationals and 10 games out of the second NL wild-card spot.

Sanches appeared in six games for the Phillies this season, surrendering seven runs on 12 hits and three walks over his 6 1/3 innings.
