The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled infielder Yan Gomes from Triple-A, reports Shi Davidi of Sportsnet:

In a corresponding roster move, the Blue Jays have optioned right-hander Sam Dyson to Triple-A.
Davidi noted last night that Gomes was held out of the lineup of the Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate in case Toronto would need him to fill-in for injured third baseman Brett Lawrie.
While X-rays came back negative following Lawrie’s leap into the camera well during yesterday’s contest against the New York Yankees, he’s currently listed as day-to-day with a contusion on his right calf.
Gomes made his major league debut earlier this season and has appeared in 17 games with the Blue Jays. Over his 38 at-bats, the 25-year-old hit at a clip of .211/.273/.474 with a double and three home runs.
Dyson appeared in two games for Toronto, allowing three earned runs in only 2/3 of an inning of work. The 24-year-old has spent much of the season with the Blue Jays’ High- and Double-A affiliate, posting a much better ERA and WHIP of 2.56 and 1.272.

Will Lawrie require a stint on the DL?
