"Four general managers of other clubs told FOXSports.com Wednesday that Lee is not yet formally available, but other executives expect Phillies GM Ruben Amaro Jr. will consider offers for the left-hander leading up to next Tuesday’s non-waiver deadline."
Lee still has four years and $87.5 million left on the contract he signed less than two years ago. The lefty also holds a no-trade clause the allows him to block a deal to 21 teams, reports Morosi.
The 33-year-old has already been traded four times in his career: From the Montreal Expos to the Cleveland Indians in 2002, Indians to the Philadelphia Phillies in '09, Phillies to the Seattle Mariners again in '09 and Mariners to the Texas Rangers in '10.
Lee finished third in Cy Young voting last season, but has been uncharacteristically average in 2012. He is 1-6 with a 3.95 ERA and 1.20 WHIP.
Should the Phillies trade Cliff Lee?
