After an abysmal start led to his demotion to Triple-A in May, Lind has excelled since returning to the big league club. The 28-year-old is hitting .288/.337/.513 with five home runs in his last 24 games, but has been out of the Toronto line-up since last Thursday because of back tightness.
Lind had been listed as day-to-day but the Blue Jays' lack of bench depth spurred the move to the DL. David Cooper has been called upon to replace Lind in the line-up for the second time this season. The 25-year-old is batting .292/.333/.431 with two home runs in 24 games for the Jays this season.
Lind's DL stint is retroactive to July 26.
