ORIGINAL POST (12:06 p.m. EST): The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired outfielder Shane Victorino from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for pitchers Josh Lindblom and Ethan Martin, according to Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports. Previous reports had tied Victorino to L.A., but now the deal has been completed.

In Victorino, the Dodgers land a new starting left fielder that offers a nice combination of athleticism and hitting ability. His numbers have fallen off a bit this year, but he's still posted a solid .261/.324/.401 line with nine homers and 24 stolen bases this season while handling center field.

For the Phillies, the deal adds a pair of young arms to the farm system in exchange for a player that was nearly certain to leave through free agency after the season. Lindblom is capable of helping in relief immediately, while Martin has been slow to develop but he's shown progress as a 23-year-old at Double-A this season.
