The New York Yankees are still on the lookout for third base help and the Philadelphia Phillies' Ty Wigginton may still be a possible solution, reports Matt Gelb of the Philly Inquirer.
Still hearing Wigginton to Yankees is a distinct possibility before 4 pm.

With the San Diego Padres reportedly asking a lot for Chase Headley, Wigginton may be New York's best option. The 34-year-old is hitting .230/.300/.366 with nine home runs in 88 games on the season.
Joel Sherman of the NY Post disagrees with Gelb, reporting that a deal for Wigginton would be "highly unlikely" because the Yankees value defense over offense at the position.

Sherman adds that if the Yankees do not add anyone at the deadline and determine they do need to add outside help, it is very likely that Wigginton will be available on waivers in August.
