The Boston Red Sox have acquired left-handed reliever Craig Breslow from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for right-hander Matt Albers and outfielder Scott Podsednik, according to Jack Magruder of FOXSportsArizona.com:

The Diamondbacks acquired Breslow this off-season in the Trevor Cahill trade. The 31-year-old left-hander has maintained an ERA and WHIP of 2.70 and 1.177 with 8.7 SO/9 and 2.7 BB/9 over 40 appearances spanning 43 1/3 innings this season.
Breslow owns a career ERA and WHIP of 3.02 and 1.238.
Podsednik has appeared in 19 games with the Red Sox this season, hitting at a clip of .387/.409/.484 over his 62 at-bats. The 36-year-old has also maintained an OPS of .599 over 165 Triple-A at-bats this season.
Albers, 29, has posted an ERA and WHIP of 2.29 and 1.144 with 5.7 SO/9 and 3.4 BB/9 over 40 appearances spanning 39 1/3 innings. The right-hander owns a career ERA and WHIP of 4.78 and 1.500.
