The Houston Astros have activated catcher Jason Castro from the 15-day disabled list, reports Brian McTaggart of MLB.com:
Astros activate C Jason Castro from DL and option C Carlos Corporan to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

To make room on their roster for Castro, the Astros optioned catcher Carlos Corporan to Triple-A.
Castro had been on the shelf since early July due to soreness in his surgically repaired right knee. The 25-year-old missed the entire 2011 season after tearing his ACL.
Prior to his injury, Castro had hit .254/.330/.379 with eleven doubles, two triples and two home runs over 169 at-bats. He owns a career line of .228/.307/.330 over 412 career at-bats at the major league level.
Corporan has played in eighteen games for the Astros this season. Over the 28-year-old’s fifty-one at-bats, he’s hit .275/.321/.471 with a double and three home runs. He’s been a career .252/.309/.381 hitter over ten seasons in the minors.
