The Philadelphia Phillies have acquired right-hander Ryan O’Sullivan from the Los Angeles Dodgers as the player to be named later in the trade that sent right-hander Joe Blanton to LA, reports Todd Zolecki of MLB.com:

Blanton was traded to the Dodgers on August 3. Los Angeles ultimately picked up $2.9 million of Blanton’s remaining salary along with sending O’Sullivan to the Phillies to complete the deal.
O’Sullivan was selected by the Dodgers in the fourth round of the 2011 MLB Draft. The 21-year-old made three starts for LA’s rookie affiliate after signing last summer, allowing seven runs on seven hits and six walks with five strikeouts over eight and one-third innings of work.
O’Sullivan has spent the 2012 season with the Dodgers’ Low- and High-A affiliates. He’s posted an ERA of 3.05 with 5.6 SO/9 and 3.1 BB/9 over twenty-nine appearances, including nine starts.
