The Oakland Athletics have called up right-hander Dan Straily and infielder Adam Rosales from Triple-A Sacramento, reports Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle.
I have had confirmation Straily and Rosales are heading to
— Susan Slusser (@susanslusser) August 2, 2012#Athletics. I am told this is not an injury or DL situation for anyone else.
The 23-year-old Straily, who will make his first major league start tomorrow night against the Blue Jays, owns a stellar 2.60 ERA and 11.4 K/9 in 22 starts this season between Double- and Triple-A.
Corner infielder Rosales is getting his second cup of tea with the A's this season. The 29-year-old hit just .167/.394/.167 in 13 games for Oakland early in the season.
No corresponding 25-man roster moves have been made as of yet, but Slusser speculates that infielder Brandon Hicks and reliever Jim Miller will likely be demoted.
