The Los Angeles Dodgers have activated left-handed reliever Scott Elbert from the fifteen-day disabled list, the team has announced:

To make room on their roster for Elbert, the Dodgers optioned utility player Elian Herrera to Triple-A.
Elbert logged a perfect inning of relief yesterday, including one strikeout, during the Dodgers 5-0 win over the Atlanta Braves.
Prior to Sunday’s appearance, Elbert had been on the DL since late July with an elbow injury. On the season, the 27-year-old has maintained an ERA of 2.45 over thirty-nine appearances. He’s posted 8.6 SO/9 and 4.0 BB/9 over twenty-nine and one-third innings of work.
Herrera made his major league debut earlier this season and has appeared in fifty-three games for the Dodgers. The 27-year-old has hit .244/.326/.331 with ten doubles and one home run over 172 at-bats.
