Weeks made his debut for the A’s last season, hitting .303/.340/.421 over ninety-seven games with the club. He’s struggled this year, hitting only .205/.305/.302 with fourteen doubles, eight triples and two home runs over 437 at-bats.
Norberto is suffering from shoulder tendinitis. The 25-year-old has maintained an ERA of 2.77 over thirty-nine appearances for Oakland this season.
Smith returned to the A’s lineup last night, collecting two hits and two walks during the club’s 4-1 win over the Minnesota Twins. The 29-year-old had been out since early August with a hamstring injury. He’s hit .237/.342/.424 over 278 at-bats for the A’s this year.
Jaramillo had spent the season with the Milwaukee Brewers’ Double- and Triple-A teams before being released by the club last week. He was a member of the Pirates from 2009-11, hitting at a combined clip of .235/.293/.327 over the three seasons.
