The Arizona Diamondbacks have called up left-hander Tyler Skaggs and outfielder AJ Pollock, reports Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic:
Moves: RHP Sam Demel optioned, LHP Tyler Skaggs' contract selected. Also: OF AJ Pollock recalled as the 26th man.

In a corresponding roster move, the Diamondbacks optioned right-hander Sam Demel to Triple-A. Arizona only had to remove one player from their twenty-five-man roster to make room for Skaggs and Pollock, as Pollock will be used as the club’s "twenty-sixth-man" during their day/night double header against the Miami Marlins.
Skaggs will take the mound this afternoon in what will be his major league debut. The 21-year-old has spent the season with Arizona’s Double- and Triple-A affiliate, maintaining an ERA of 2.87.
Pollock made his major league debut earlier this season, collecting thirteen hits, including two doubles and one home run, over fifty-three at-bats. The 24-year-old has spent a majority of the year with Arizona’s Triple-A club, where he’s hit .332/.380/.425.
Demel has only appeared in one game for the Diamondbacks this season, surrendering one run on two hits and a walk over his inning of work.
