The Miami Marlins have activated outfielder Giancarlo Stanton from the disabled list and placed infielder Donnie Murphy on the 15-day DL with a hamstring strain, reports Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald.

Stanton, who had a small operation to remove two cartilage chips from his right knee on July 8, has not played since right before the All-Star break. The 22-year-old power hitter completed a four-game rehab assignment at Single-A Jupiter, where he hit .313/.313/.750 with two home runs in sixteen at-bats, before being activated. Stanton was hitting .284/.364/.554 with 19 home runs prior to going on the DL.
To make room on the roster for Stanton, infielder Donnie Murphy was place on the 15-day DL, retroactive to Saturday. Murphy, who is hitting just .194/.267/.403 on the year, strained his left hamstring during Friday's game and could be out until the end of the month.
