Detroit Tigers utility infielder Don Kelly has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A, the team has announced:

Kelly was designated for assignment by the Tigers last week in order to make room on their roster for outfielder Andy Dirks, who was activated from the 15-day disabled list.
Over 103 at-bats for the Tigers this season, Kelly has hit .175/.267/.243 with two doubles and a home run. The 32-year-old has manned all three outfield positions for Detroit as well as first, second and third base this year, with a majority of his appearances coming in either left or right field.
Over his five-year career, spanning 681 at-bats, Kelly’s hit .231/.282/.345. This will mark his first time in the minors since the 2009 season, the year he joined the Tigers.
