Veteran has narrowed his choices to three teams.

With Rafael Soriano signing with the Nationals today, interest is intensifying in Kyle Farnsworth, reports Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports. Rosenthal says that Farnsworth has fielded multiple offers and has narrowed his choices from six teams to three.

Farnsworth, 36, went 1-6 with a 4.00 ERA in just 27 innings for the Rays last season. He was the Rays closer in 2011, when he recorded a 2.18 ERA and 25 saves but Fernando Rodney took the job last year when Farnsworth missed a lot of time with an elbow strain. For his career, Farnsworth is 40-62 with a 4.24 ERA and 52 saves in 14 major-league seasons. The hard-throwing righty has spent time with the Cubs, Tigers, Braves, Yankees, Tigers, Royals and Rays in his career.

Rosenthal also notes that teams looking for late-inning relievers include the Rays, Tigers, Blue Jays, Mariners, Marlins and Mets. Farnsworth earned $3.3 million last season.
