The Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to a one-year contract with free agent reliever Chad Durbin, according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com. Durbin's new deal with the Phillies includes a base salary of $1.1 million with another $350,000 in incentives, reports Jerry Crasnick of ESPN.

Durbin's deal is pending his physical, and Zolecki adds that it includes a team option for the 2014 season.

A member of the Phillies from 2008-10, Durbin owns a career ERA of 4.95 over 13 seasons at the major league level. Last year with the Atlanta Braves the right-hander posted a 3.10 ERA over 76 appearances with 7.2 strikeouts and 4.1 walks per nine innings.

During his time with the Phillies, Durbin maintained an ERA of 3.62 7.5 strikeouts and 4.3 walks. Zolecki notes that he was a positive presence in the team's clubhouse, and Philadelphia is hoping he can provide a good influence for the team's young bullpen arms.

Durbin will join closer Jonathan Papelbon and late-inning arms Mike Adams and Antonio Bastardo in the Phillies' bullpen. Zolecki notes that Durbin's addition means there should be "three jobs available in the bullpen" this spring.
