Seattle Mariners catcher/designated hitter Jesus Montero is the latest name to be tied to Biogenesis.
Seattle Mariners catcher/designated hitter Jesus Montero is the latest name to be tied to Biogenesis, the clinic at the center of the South Florida performance-enhancing drug scandal, according to Bill Madden, Teri Thompson and Michael O'Keefe of The New York Daily News.
Montero was named in the clinic's records, but it's not clear if it was directly connected to certain PEDs or not.
While Montero figures to feel the heat of this morning's report, it's only going to increase Major League Baseball's investigation into Seth and Sam Levinson, the owners of ACES, a Brooklyn-bases sports agency.
Montero is the fourth ACES client to be named in Biogenesis records, along with Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Melky Cabrera, Washington Nationals left-hander Gio Gonzalez and Texas Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz.
