Henry was selected in the fourth round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Rangers. The 19-year-old has spent the past two seasons playing at the rookie level. Entering the 2012 season, he was an intriguing prospect considering his speed and power potential. But there were concerns surrounding the outfielder's hitting ability, and they certainly remained after he only registered a batting line of .140/.269/.140 over 67 plate appearances in 2011.
Henry was unable to show improvement last season, as he was limited to two games.
Since the Rangers acquired Hottony from the Royals in November, he's been selected off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays. The 31-year-old posted an ERA of 4.05 over 17 major league appearances, and he owns a career ERA of 4.00 with a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 2.30 over parts of nine seasons in the minors.
