I have seen nothing about Baltimore being in the trade market for pitching. To me, if this team were to add a top-of-the-line starter to the mix, they become scary good.
The only thing stopping them from making the playoffs is a rotation that currently has Wei-Yin Chen and 4 mediocre pitchers. Their lineup doesn't show signs of slowing down. In the 'pen, Johnson and O'Day are as good of 1-2 punch as any in the MLB. But without picking up a good starter, their chances of reaching the playoffs are iffy, and advancing past the ALDS very unlikely.
Are the Orioles being quiet about shopping for pitchers, or are they content with what they have?
