Why are the White Sox still in Chicago?

Boston had the Braves and Red Sox, and then the Braves relocated to Milwaukee in 1953 and then Atlanta in 1966.

Saint Louis had the Cardinals and Browns, and then the Browns relocated to Baltimore in 1954 and changed their name to the Orioles.

Philadelphia had the Phillies and Athletics, and then the Athletics relocated to Kansas City in 1955 and then Oakland in 1968.

New York/Brooklyn had the Giants, Dodgers and Yankees, and then the Giants and Dodgers relocated to San Francisco and Los Angeles, respectively, in 1958, before the expansion Mets debuted in 1962.

Chicago even had two NFL franchises until 1960, when the Cardinals relocated to Saint Louis and then Phoenix in 1988.

So why does Chicago still have two MLB franchises? They have only one franchise each in the NBA, NHL and NFL. Why don't the White Sox relocate to Indianapolis? After all, Chicago will always be a Cubs town.
