The Dodgers have placed set up man Brian Wilson on the 15-day disabled list due to an elbow injury, according to True Blue LA's Eric Stephen. MLB.com's Ken Gurnick confirmed the report, citing "nerve irritation" as the cause for the move.
Wilson, 32, re-upped with Los Angeles this offseason on a one-year deal worth $10 million that includes a player option worth $9 million for 2015.
After undergoing Tommy John surgery in 2012, Wilson returned to the mound with the Dodgers last season.
He put up a 0.66 ERA in 13⅔ innings and threw six scoreless frames in the postseason. It looked like his elbow problems were over, but this injury could be indicative of remaining damage.
Early tests show no ligament damage, according to David Vassegh of Fox Sports Radio.
