The Red Sox seem set on letting him walk, as they are pursuing J.D. Drew. Nixon batted .268 with 8 HR and 52 RBI. Now that Soriano and Lee have signed their deals and Drew is in negotiations with the Red Sox, teams will focus on acquiring Nixon or Dellucci. Scott Schoeneweis has received calls from the The Indians, Tigers, and Red Sox as a possible set-up man or maybe closer. The Indians and Red Sox are both in need of a closer but would probably prefer Schoeneweis as their set-up man. Schoeneweis went 4-2 with a 4.88 ERA with 4 SV and 29 K. He pitched in 71 games, an accomplishment for any reliever. He is expected to make 3-4 million a year.
