According to Bruce Levine of ESPN 1000 (and a loyal reader), Cubs reliever Mike Wuertz is drawing interest from the Athletics. Wuertz struggled with his command last season, but is very capable of being a dominant middle reliever. He was 1-1 with a 3.63 ERA last season, but has a career 3.57 ERA in 265 career games. Wuertz, 30, gives the Cubs a lot of depth, so the Cubs probably won't trade him unless they are getting a solid prospect in return.
UPDATE: The Cubs traded Michael Wuertz to the Athletics for two minor league players, Richie Robnett and Justin Sellers. The Cubs also traded Rich Hill to the Orioles for a player to be named later.
