Joe Borowski Retires

The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that closer Joe Borowski has decided to retire. "I guess 38, 87 and 88 wasn't looking good in people's eyes," said the former Indians closer. Borowski was 22-34 in his career with a 4.18 career ERA. Borowski's best year came in 2003 with the Cubs when he went 2-2 with a 2.63 ERA and 33 saves. "With all the people who are still free agents out there, I see what's going on. Finally, I said that's it. I said I can't complain about any part of my career. I'm shutting it down. It was like the weight of the world came off my shoulders."
