The Ramirez camp submitted a new offer to the Dodgers: a two year deal worth 55 million dollars, and no deferred money. "I told Ned that we stand by our proposal," Boras told MLB.com. "As far as we're concerned, there's no deadline. We're still talking." The Dodgers would like to add Ramirez sooner rather than later, so he can prepare with his teammates for the start of his first full season with the Dodgers.
The Giants are the only team that have expressed serious interest in Ramirez. With his price not showing any signs of coming down, I doubt any surprise teams will enter the race.
