ESPN.com's Buster Olney speculates about the possibility of Mark Mulder landing in Milwaukee. It makes a lot of sense, considering the circumstances.
Brewers manager Ken Macha recently brought back his former pitching coach Rick Peterson to help fix some of the problems in Milwaukee's rotation. The two worked together in Oakland and played a key role in the development of the Big Three: Tim Hudson, Mark Mulder, and Barry Zito.
Mulder is a free agent who has been recovering from surgery for the past year. He worked with Rick Peterson to help fix his mechanics this past season, and may be interested in working with Peterson while he eases back into a major league work regimen.
Mulder is familiar with the NL Central, having pitched in St. Louis for the past four seasons. The Red Sox and Marlins may also be interested in the two-time All-Star.
