It hasn't even been 24-hours since the Royals informed catcher John Buck that he would be non-tendered and he has already found a new team.
The Blue Jays signed free agent catcher John Buck to a one year deal worth 2 million dollars, according to Jayson Stark of ESPN.com. Buck became expendable after the Royals signed Jason Kendall, but it didn't take long to find another gig, despite a .235 career average.
Buck will likely be a one-year stop gap for top catcher prospect J.P. Arenciba, who ideally will be in the major leagues by 2011.
