The Diamondbacks and Bob Howry have agreed to a one-year deal worth between 2-3 million dollars.
Howry, 36, gives the Diamondbacks another late-inning option out of the bullpen. He had a 3.39 ERA in 63 2/3 innings for the Giants last season and has a 3.44 ERA over the past six seasons.
Like right-hander Aaron Heilman, whom the Diamondbacks got in a trade with the Chicago Cubs last month, Howry is durable, averaging 75 appearances and 73 innings over the past five seasons.
