It looks as if the Reds will activate Joey Votto in time for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.
The Dayton Daily News reported that Votto was on the team charter flight on Monday and that the first baseman won't have rejoined the team if he was not going to play.
Votto, a native of Toronto, has been on the disabled list since May 30 with stress-related issues.
Prior to going on the disabled list Votto was batting .357 with eight homers and 33 RBIs.
This is going to be a huge lift for the Reds who are still in the mix at 34-34, sitting 3 ½ games behind the first place Cardinals.
