Jays to Scout Phillies Prospect Kyle Drabek Tonight

The Jays will scout top Phillies pitching prospect Kyle Drabek in tonight's start against the Altoona Curve, Canada.com reports. Toronto GM J.P. Ricciardi has already predicted that he won't trade Roy Halladay to the Phillies or anyone else, but he'll listen to offers at least through next Tuesday. The Phillies, for their part, will be reluctant to part with Drabek, a former top draft pick who has posted a 2.83 ERA and 111 strikeouts in 114 innings so far this year between Class A+ Clearwater and Class AA Reading.

It looks like the Jays are just doing their due diligence here; the Phillies don't seem to be eager to part with Drabek as part of a package for Halladay, but the Jays will want to know what they're getting into if the Phillies change their minds as the deadline approaches.
