Dodgers Under Pressure to Upgrade

FOXSports.com Ken Rosenthal is reporting on the pressure the Dodgers are feeling this morning after the Phillies added 2008 Cy Young winner Cliff Lee to their starting rotation yesterday. According to Rosenthal's major leagure sources, a deal for Jays Roy Halladay is still a possibility because they are not demanding RHP Chad Billingsley or lefty Clayton Kershaw. But Dodgers GM Ned Colletti has said the Jays are expecting five or six prospects from them to complete a deal.

Among those thought to be of interest to the Jays are two sons of former MLB players- Ivan DeJesus Jr, out this season with a broken leg but an up-and-coming shortstop and Devaris Gordon, son of releiver Tom Gordon. also a shortstop. Other names being discussed are OF Andrew Lambo, RHP Josh Lindblom, 3B Josh Bell and RHP Chris Withblow.

On the other hand, SI.com Jon Heyman is reporting that the Dodgers have given up on acquiring Halladay as they consider the price too high. They are now joining the hunt for Orioles' George Sherrill.
