Minaya and Manuel with Mets in 2010

The New York Post spoke with Mets owner Fred Wilpon about the future of GM Omary Minaya.

"Am I going to bring Omar back next year?" Wilpon said. "Absolutely. That's a fact."

So with Minaya comes Jerry Manuel, who has a positive relationship with upper management. The Mets disappointing season cannot fall solely on Manuel, in large part to several key injuries during the season.

The Mets lost Jose Reyes, Carlos Delgado, and Carlos Beltran for an extended amount of time, crippling them as they fought for the division lead.

Don't be surprised to see Jerry Manuel on the hot seat if the Mets struggle out of the gate in 2010.
