White Sox Update: Jake Peavy and Freddy Garcia

According to CBSSports.com the Chicago Daily Herald reports that right-hander Jake Peavy will throw tommorow in San Diego and should be able to make his first minor-league start on Thursday next week. Peavy will need at least 3 more minor league starts after that before he joins the rotation. Peavy, 6-6 with a 3.97 ERA in 13 starts, has been sidelined since June 8th with an ankle injury.

According to a Chicago Tribune report fellow White Sox right-hander Freddy Garcia made his third rehab start last night in Class A. Garcia allowed 2 earned runs in 6 innings on 5 hits, with 0 walks and 5 strikeouts. The two runs are the only runs Garcia has allowed in his 3 starts.
