The Cubs have begun discussing a two-year extension with lefty reliever John Grabow. Grabow is set to be a free agent in November, and the Cubs want to work out a deal before exclusive negotiating rights end 10 days following the World Series.
Grabow has done a great job for the Cubs this season, posting a 2.41 in 23 games since coming over from the Pirates.
With Carlos Marmol already penciled in as closer, Grabow will likely serve as the teams set up man.
