Sunday Morning Quick Hits

Some useful links for you guys on this Sunday morning:

  • Royals officials rejected a report that they were high on Milton Bradley, according to Bob Dutton of the Kansas City Star. The Royals are moving in a different direction, and don't want to risk a potential distraction, even though they nearly traded for him in 2006.
  • The Marlins may shop Matt Lindstrom this offseason. Lindstrom is eligible for arbitration, but struggled this season with a 5.79 ERA in 53 games this season. Lindstrom could be tried as a late inning reliever before being tossed back into a closer role, so don't be surprised to see teams take a chance on him
  • Ken Davidoff of Newsday thinks the Braves may shop Derek Lowe this offseason. Don't count on it, considering he has 12 million coming his way annually through 2012.
  • The Chicago Tribune speculates that the Cubs and White Sox could discuss a blockbuster that would send Carlos Zambrano to the White Sox and Jake Peavy to the Cubs. Looking at some of the past injuries for Jake Peavy, it seems like it would be a disastrous move for the Cubs.
