Angels to join in Aroldis Chapman race?

The LA Times is reporting that the Angels are serious about pursuing free agent starter Aroldis Chapman, who defected from Cuba recently. The Angels, however, are not completely sold on the starter and want to see how Chapman play in some competitive venues.

"That's not going to get it done," Angels scouting director Eddie Bane told the Times. "Nobody's going to invest that kind of money in a guy off a bullpen, and that includes us."

You would think that no team would invest in him based on a bullpen session, but some team will take a chance. His fastball has reportedly been clocked at 102 miles per hour.

The Yankees, Red Sox, and Mets, among others are expected to pursue the 21-year old left hander.
